Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a visitor enters a name or birth date into a search box, the information goes to the outside provider that operates that service. That provider processes the query and returns its own results. Clay County Warrant Records does not store or log those query terms on its end.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a person sends a message through a published contact channel, the message may be kept so a reply can be made. It is handled within the organization and is not shared outside it unless a legal duty requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, server logs may record technical details about the visit, such as:
- Device IP address.
- Browser type and version.
- Device and operating system type.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring site, when one is sent.
- Time and date stamps for page views.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files kept by a browser. This site uses them and analytics services to measure broad traffic patterns, such as which pages are used and where visits end. Browser controls can block cookies, though some site features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Information from visits is used for routine site operations. That can include:
- Keeping pages available and loading well.
- Sending a search query to the provider that runs the tool.
- Seeing which reference pages need improvement.
- Finding and repairing technical faults.
- Showing advertising that may relate to browsing activity.
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, build, maintain, or sell a database of warrants or individual warrant records. It gives general directions to the Clay County Sheriff, the courts that issue process, Celina's municipal court portal, and other public sources. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or records about other people. Clay County case details must be confirmed with the court or agency that holds them.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes may be run by outside providers. Anything entered into one of those tools is handled under that provider's privacy terms, not this policy. The provider controls its retention and sharing practices. Review its policy before entering personal information; Clay County Warrant Records does not control the partner's systems.
Links to Other Websites
Pages link to Tennessee courts, county offices, law-enforcement directories, and outside services. Following a link moves the visit to another organization, whose privacy policy then governs. Read that policy before sharing personal details.
Some advertising partners may track browsing across sites for ad selection. That tracking is handled by those partners under their own terms.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Depending on how a visitor uses the site, information may be processed by:
- Search partners that accept the visitor's query.
- Analytics vendors that report traffic and performance.
- Ad networks that place ads on site pages.
- A government body or law-enforcement agency if a valid legal order requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
Standard security practices are used to protect information the site handles. Internet systems cannot be guaranteed free of risk, however. We take steps to guard data but cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If information from a minor is believed to have been submitted, a request may be made through an available published contact channel so the matter can be reviewed and, where appropriate, removed.
Your Data Rights
Tennessee's Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. ยง 10-7-503, provides public access to records held by government entities, subject to exceptions. It is not a privacy law for this privately operated site and does not make visitor logs county records.
A visitor may ask whether information is held, request a copy or correction, ask about removal, or ask that certain processing stop. Whether a request can be honored depends on what information exists and the law that applies to the visitor. No specific Tennessee consumer privacy statute is claimed here.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. The current text and effective date will appear here; a visitor who wants to follow changes should review this page again from time to time.
